Do search engines such as Google even know that you website exists? Having a website that shows up on major search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing comes down to understanding how they work. So how do search engines find and evaluate your website and its content? with a little thing called a Googlebot. The easiest way to explain what a Googlebot does is it collects whatever information it can about pages and documents on the web, so that it can add that content to the engine’s vast searchable index. Crawling

Indexing
After it crawls through a site, the information it gathers is processed and listed, this is what we call “indexing” which leads to websites being listed in search engines. Google looks at a ton of information on pages during the crawling process, including title tags, meta description and alt tags.
Remember that crawling and indexing is an ongoing process and the Googlebot never get a chance to rest as he is always changing and growing. Without being indexed your pages will do you know good creating organic traffic and conversion.
How do I submit my site to Google?
Submitting your site or new pages to Google is really pretty easy. First you will want to make sure that you are connected to Google Webmaster. Once you connect you can submit your URL using the drop down and selecting “New Property”.
Want to know if your site is already indexed? Simply go to Google and type “site:mywebsite.com” the results will show all of your pages that have been indexed by Google. If nothing shows up in the results then your site have not yet been indexed. Remember, it can take up to 3 month for your site to be indexed once you submit it.
